News Update

2011/2012 News

It is with great sadness that Kakutzi is no longer actively breeding. My love for Devon’s is forever and i have some special ‘heart kitties’ who will stay with me as much loved pets. I have developed such amazing friendships with some wonderful overseas Devon Breeders and have been blessed to work with such reputable breeders, and their quality lines.

Kakutzi lines will carry on with some trusted breeders, and i look forward to watching how they help Devons in the future here, and overseas. I will still be contactable for any future enquiry help (See adopting page).

For the many people who were fond of Jen Jen (Kirleekat’s Jennifurr Ann) who i imported from Erika Paylor in the states, i would like to share that she now has also retired. Jen has been desexed and is living a well earned retirement (although is clearly spending too much time now eating). She has left a legacy of wonderfull kittens…

In my own breeding retirement, i am sharing my life also with two other amazing pets. The amazing Dart (Kakutzi D’Artagnan) who was a heart kitty from birth. My good friends know of this boy’s incredible and comical personality, and with good looks to match!! Devon’s are unique as a rule with great temperaments, but Dart is truly a different kettle of fish.  He is a fantastic ambassador for the kind of progeny his US lines produces. (Once again i thank Robin & Erika for these lines, and being able to produce the most amazing boy).

My other special girl living as a pet is Pippi – Kakutzi Cappucine Carmine (Gen 2). A Devon Rex Variant from my earlier outcross program, who is a joy to have around. Pippi produced some very nice ‘curly’ kittens for me in her time being entire.  Pippi has taken on the role of dart’s ‘bossy mother’. Pippi is a great example of how beautiful and well temperamented Devon variants are,  with many of our visitors preferring Pippi.
